Happy New Year, CF Yogis! We made it through 2021. It’s been a ride in a year full of ups and downs, and I think many of us are feeling a sense of hope mixed with trepidation about what 2022 will hold. A cautious optimism, of sorts.

To help get your 2022 started off on the right foot, we are thrilled to have Martha Modawell back with us leading our first yoga practice of the year! Martha has previously taught our yoga for caregivers classes, as well as numerous classes for the CF community with CFRI, and is known for creating a compassionate, supportive environment to nourish your whole self. Join Martha for New Year Mood Boost on Monday, Jan 3rd at 10:30 am PST / 1:30 pm EST!

In this first class of the new year, Martha will lead us in an uplifting, slow flow practice to set some mindful intentions and start the new year off right! Join us for a powerful-yet-slow flow to set us up right for the coming year!

For full transparency, we originally had Colleen scheduled for this class, but she’s been battling an illness that’s taken the wind out of her sails, and Martha heroically stepped up to fill Colleen’s shoes this coming Monday. (We still have Colleen on the schedule for our regularly-programmed classes continuing the Mood Boost theme on January 10th, and will be sending healing vibes her way!)

But isn’t that what we do in this CF community, and in tumultuous times in general? We go to bat for each other, we help lift each other when we’re down, in this lemonade-from-lemons world we’re living in. And that makes me hopeful that we’ll all get through 2022 with the world looking a little brighter than it did before.
